Biography:

Dr. Jean Hung is a licensed naturopathic primary care physician and completed a two-year CNME-accredited pediatric residency at The Kid’s Clinic.  She also has additional training with the Institute of Functional Medicine.   She has had a life-long passion working with kids announcing to her own doctor as an 8-year-old that she was going to grow up to be a pediatrician, and her heart had been set since. She has volunteered in the Big Brother/ Big Sister program, as a camp counselor, educated families at the Pacific Science Center, and worked with mothers and children going through domestic violence during her undergraduate research.

Dr. Hung specializes in comprehensive pediatric care from newborn visits, assessing infant feeding, performing frenotomies, routine well-child exams, vaccine counseling, sports physicals, acute/sick visits, general nutrition, and supplement/medication management.  She also works with children who have asthma, allergies, eczema, anxiety, depression, gastrointestinal conditions, autoimmune conditions, ADHD, and autism.  Dr. Hung is certified as a Centers of Excellent Provider and can evaluate and diagnose autism spectrum disorder in young children as well as for developmental disabilities administration eligibility.

She combines up to date standards of care from conventional medicine with evidence-based integrative medicine to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each child and their family.

Dr. Hung completed her undergraduate studies in psychology and microbiology at the University of Washington. She graduated from medical school at Bastyr University and received her doctorate in 2016.  She completed additional rotations at Seattle Children’s Hospital, Country Doctor, NeighborCare Health, HealthPoint, Mary’s Place (services for homeless women and children), and numerous other pediatric clinics.

Dr. Hung serves on the board of directors of PedANP (Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians) and is a professional member of WANP (Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians), Integrative Medicine for the Underserved, and the Institute of Functional Medicine. Outside the clinic, her passions lie in long-distance running, badminton, tea tasting, and board games.
